SIRMIONE and the GROTTE DI CATULLO (20 km)
Historical peninsula of the lake, where latin poet Catullo dwelled (I century a.C.). The "grotte" are remnants of an ancient roman villa of the first imperial period. It contains ancient paintings of I and II century a.C. .
